從電影 Call me by your name 片名談起

 2017年電影《Call Me by Your Name》改編自同名小說, 我覺得片名頗有意思, 後來得知來自台詞「Call Me by your name and I’ll call you by mine」, 好奇是作者 André Aciman 的妙筆還是有典故, 網路上只有網友的踹測沒有確切的答案, 不過我發現幾件有類似思考但是比較廣義的歷史典故.

Alexander (亞歷山大大帝) 征服波斯國時和 Hephaestion 一起去見波斯王后, 王后誤把 Hephaestion 當作是他, 請求對王室高抬貴手, 發現認錯人後非常尷尬, Alexander 安慰她不必難過說「this man too is Alexander」. 據說 Hephaestion 是 Alexander 的「親密戰友」( ^_-)  , 不過 Alexander 應該只是說 Hephaestion 的地位和他平等, 並非稱呼他 Alexander.

古希臘哲學家 Aristotle (碰巧是 Alexander 的老師) 曾說「What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies.」後來法國哲學家 Montaigne 說友誼達到最高峰時也有類似的話「one soul in two bodies」, 不過 Aristotle 所說是哲學的思考, Montaigne 則是描述他和好友 La Boétie 的志同道合可稱心靈合一.
